The Great Orme Tramway

Delighting visitors since 1902, the Tramway transports passengers through the Great Orme Country Park and Nature Reserve to the summit.

The tram's extraordinary journey begins at Victoria Station - located a short distance from Llandudno's seaside and pier. Climb aboard one of our beautifully restored tramcars and begin you ascent through the winding roads of the Great Orme.

At the Halfway Station, learn about the remarkable history of Victorian engineering and observe the powerful funicular railway system in action. Jump onto another beautifully restored tramcar to complete the journey to the summit, where you can sit and relax while taking in the splend views of North Wales and beyond!

Llandudno Cable Car

The longest cable car in Britain

Enjoy a ride on the Llandudno Cable Car during your visit to this beautiful resort. As the cable car glides silently from Happy Valley to the summit of the Great Orme (679ft) a magnificent panorama unfolds breathtaking views of Llandudno, the Little Orme, Conwy Estuary and beyond.

The Llandudno Cable Car is the longest passenger cable car system in Britain. Choose return (18 minute ride) or single from Happy Valley or the summit where there is a cafe.

Before your return journey enjoy spectacular views of Anglesey, Puffin Island and the mountains of Snowdonia or explore the many delightful walks over the Great Orme, with its nature trails and pre-historic remains. The lower station is in Happy Valley Gardens, behind Llandudno Pier.

Great Orme Ancient Mine

Take a trip through time

Visit the award winning Bronze Age Copper Mine. The oldest metal mine open to the public in the world. Explore the 3,500 year old passages leading to the amazing prehistoric cavern, walk around the ancient surface landscape and view the 4,000 year old Great Opencast.

Visitor Centre, artefacts and displays depicting mining, smelting and life in teh Bronze Age, discover how the ancient mines were unearthed in 1987.
